On April 30, Cao Ping, Party Secretary of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), led a delegation to visit the headquarters of Dekon Group. Wang Degen, Chairman of Dekon Group and a 1989 alumnus of UESTC, warmly received the delegation. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics such as empowering modern agriculture through scientific and technological innovation and deepening industry-university-research cooperation.
During the visit, Cao Ping and her delegation toured the headquarters of Dekon Group and learned in depth about the Group’s corporate culture and industrial layout.
At the subsequent symposium, the two sides conducted practical discussions on application scenarios such as high-quality food testing and traceability, digital breeding and smart farming, as well as topics including “AI+” and the whole-industry-chain digitalization construction of planting and breeding, and explored cooperation opportunities in depth. The two sides also exchanged views on talent cultivation, agricultural technology innovation and entrepreneurship, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, interdisciplinary research and application, and data security. All participants reached a consensus on accelerating the precise alignment of the innovation chain with the industrial chain, and establishing long-term cooperation mechanisms in areas such as key technological breakthroughs, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and joint talent cultivation.
Wang Degen recalled his study experience at UESTC. On behalf of Dekon Group, he extended a warm welcome to Secretary Cao Ping and her delegation, and expressed gratitude for the long-term care and support from his alma mater.
