On January 21, Zhu Lixue, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences (GDAAS), led a delegation to visit the headquarters of Dekon Group. Wang Degen, Chairman of Dekon Group, and other group leaders attended the symposium.
The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on topics including the construction of National Key Laboratory for Pig and Poultry Breeding Industry, agricultural science and technology innovation, industrial integration development, and “cooperating with farmers and helping farmers” mechanism, to jointly explore new paths for cooperation.
Before the symposium, Zhu Lixue paid close attention to the construction of National Key Laboratory Innovation Base for Pig and Poultry Breeding Industry, and toured the Corporate Culture Corridor of Dekon Group, where he learned in detail about the company’s development history, scientific and technological achievements, industrial layout, and corporate culture development. Zhu Lixue spoke highly of Dekon Group’s achievements in promoting the high-quality development of modern agriculture and building a win-win mechanism for cooperating with farmers and helping farmers. He particularly affirmed the Group’s development philosophy of “becoming stronger and then becoming larger”, as well as its practices of empowering the industry with technology and uniting teams through culture.
At the symposium, Wang Degen expressed his gratitude to the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences for its long-term care and support, and introduced Dekon Group’s practices and future plans in areas such as livestock and poultry breeding, healthy ecological farming, food processing, and whole-industry-chain development. He emphasized that scientific and technological innovation is the core driving force for the company’s sustainable development, and that Dekon will continue to fully support the construction of National Key Laboratory for Pig and Poultry Breeding Industry. He also expressed anticipation for further deepening cooperation with GDAAS, particularly in areas such as soil improvement, variety breeding, and ecological agriculture models in the planting sector, so as to jointly improve the quality and efficiency of agricultural industry.
Zhu Lixue stated that Dekon Group’s development path is highly consistent with the research direction of GDAAS, and that the two sides have broad prospects for cooperation in areas such as smart farming, disease prevention and control, agricultural product processing, standard formulation, and talent cultivation. He pointed out that GDAAS is actively implementing the deployment of “High-quality Development Project for Hundreds of Counties, Thousands of Towns, and Tens of Thousands of Villages”, and is committed to strengthening technological support and industrial service capabilities. He expressed the hope that the two sides could establish a closer cooperation mechanism, continue to advance the construction of National Key Laboratory for Pig and Poultry Breeding Industry, promote in-depth integration of industry, university, and research, and jointly contribute to the development of modern agriculture and rural revitalization.
In the future, the two sides will take this exchange as an opportunity to further align their needs and clarify priorities, carry out substantive cooperation in areas such as technological breakthroughs, platform co-construction, achievement transformation and talent cultivation, and actively explore new, replicable and scalable models of university-enterprise cooperation to support the high-level development of agricultural industry.
