On March 6, Chen Xinwu, Deputy Secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, visited Xiushan Dekon Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Technology Co., Ltd., and conducted on-site research on the development of modern animal husbandry, income increase initiatives by “cooperating with farmers and helping farmers”, ecological breeding, and disease prevention and control, etc. He emphasized the need to lead comprehensive rural revitalization through industrial revitalization, strengthen characteristic agriculture and animal husbandry industries, improve benefit linkage mechanisms, and promote the deep integration between ecological farming and green development, thereby injecting strong momentum into the modernization construction of agriculture in the southeastern Chongqing region.
Chen Xinwu learned about the company’s breeding scale, production technology, digital management, manure resource utilization, disease prevention and control system construction, whole-industry-chain layout, “company+family farm” operation model, and “cooperating with farmers and helping farmers” model. He fully affirmed Dekon’s adherence to standardized, large-scale and ecological development.
Chen Xinwu pointed out that animal husbandry is an important pillar industry to ensure the supply of people’s livelihoods and increase farmers’ income. By taking root in Xiushan and deeply engaging in the industry, Dekon has innovated the “cooperating with farmers and helping farmers” model to effectively help local residents achieve stable income growth, and has made positive contributions to county economy development and rural revitalization. He encouraged the enterprise to uphold food safety as its bottom line, continue to strengthen technological empowerment, optimize breeding management systems, extend industry chains, increase the added value of products, and enhance core competitiveness to build a municipal benchmark enterprise for modern ecological breeding. He noted that the enterprise should further expand the pig industry, improve the benefit linkage mechanism of “enterprise+base+farmer”, and enable more people to share the dividends of industrial development; balance industrial development and ecological protection, strictly comply with environmental protection requirements for livestock and poultry breeding, and promote planting-breeding combination and cyclic utilization to realize the coordinated improvement of economic, ecological and social benefits.
